Nature in the vineyard

Montesquieu's land is a wine-growing area that is home to the Bordeaux vineyards of Pessac-Léognan and Graves. If at first glance, nothing seems to surprise you, these famous vineyards are full of secrets. Indeed, there are hidden treasures of nature that you can visit. The Forest of Senses and the Vintage Garden are among them.

If you have a passion for contemporary art, we advise you to visit the Forest of Senses. It is adjacent to the wine estate of the famous Château Smith Haut-Lafitte. It offers you an artistic tour of 10 hectares in the heart of the vineyard. You can discover the creations of artists, mostly from Bordeaux. It is an opportunity to contemplate works of land art in a preserved setting.

La Forêt des Sens is perfect for a moment with your partner, family or friends. The present creations will move your five senses. The exposure of the works to the natural elements allows you to appreciate them better. This trail also gives you the opportunity to change your perception of the forest. This makes it a real parenthesis of nature in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards.

The Vintage Garden of Château Larrivet Haut-Brion is a place dedicated to the world of wine. It is intended to be a poetic parallel between wine and nature. Indeed, the owner wants visitors to visit her garden as they would taste a good vintage. Visiting it guarantees an experience of full awareness and an initiatory discovery.

The plant palette of the Vintage Garden is inspired by the winemaking process of great wines. The smells and tastes of the plants present are reminiscent of its notes. The colours used are those of the nuances taken by the drink according to its ageing cycle. The colour palette also changes according to the aromas of the season. In winter, you can admire yellowish hues. In summer, red hues predominate. The place is therefore evolving and offers you a perpetual rediscovery.

Des écrins de nature se cachent donc au coeur des vignobles de Montesquieu. La Forêt des Sens et le Jardin Millésimé en sont les exemples parfaits.
